We partner with \u2018Better By Design\u2019 to bring our design thinking pillar of development to life. They\u2019re awesome at what they do and we\u2019re stoked to have a close working relationship with them.<\/p>\n
At Sequal, we\u2019re using design to promote problem-solving and innovation amongst our people, to get a greater understanding of our customer\u2019s needs and to create new value \u2013 by design not by chance.<\/p>\n
We like the fact that the design thinking process gives us a framework to promote innovation within our teams by way of critical thinking and collaboration but above all, we love that it starts with empathy!<\/p>\n
So far our design focus has been internal because for us, it was most authentic to create a culture that everyone could be proud of before doing anything else! So, as a team, we set about defining what \u2018give more\u2019 meant to us. A number of ideas came out of these sessions to turn into rituals and help us create a \u2018Sequal way\u2019 of life.<\/p>\n
Outside of our people, we\u2019re also really passionate about creating long-term partnerships with our customers. However we realise that in order to do this, we need to really understand them. So later this year, we\u2019ll also be running design sessions with our customers to identify where we can be giving more.<\/p>\n
Recently, a few of the team were lucky enough to attend the Better By Design CEO Summit in Auckland. It was an incredible learning experience for all and to say our brains were overloaded with inspiration was an understatement!<\/p>\n
Some of the key points the summit reinforced for us:
\n\u2022 Authenticity is EVERYTHING!
\n\u2022 The power of simplicity is gold \u2013 having non-negotiable beliefs are powerful (things you\u2019re not prepared to move on – ever).
\n\u2022 Process is important but it\u2019s belief and passion that moves mountains.<\/p>\n
