Cycling the length of NZ for the good of our community

For our team, ‘giving more’ is a daily challenge and a constant reminder that we must keep raising the bar and never stop moving forward. For one of our own, Miki Sindler, a challenge certainly isn’t something to shy away from – in fact he generally goes searching for them!

Over his summer break this year, he decided to keep himself busy by cycling the length of New Zealand (3100 kilometres) – a good chunk of it by himself – to raise money for one his football club’s (Otumoetai FC) chosen charities, Good Neighbour Trust.

Good Neighbour Trust is a community organisation whose mission is ‘to provide practical opportunities for people to support one another so that lives and neighbourhoods are transformed’ – in short, they help those in need of a hand up during life’s difficult times – what absolute legends!

These guys share our philosophy that our community is our responsibility. They help in many ways including food rescue, projects, community gardens, community kitchen and firewood.

Hats off to the team at Good Neighbour for the incredible work they do in our community – certainly worth cycling the length of the country for!
