Bettering ourselves with healthier habits

Over the past few weeks many of our team have been taking part in the Sequal biggest loser challenge – an internal challenge focussed on nutrition, moving our bodies, and making healthier choices to create healthier habits.

Over the 12 week challenge period, we’ll be focussing on improving our knowledge in both nutrition and exercise, exploring healthier alternatives for food/drink and moving our bodies a little bit more than we normally do in order to try and embed healthier habits (no matter how big or small) in our everyday lives that we hope will continue well beyond the challenge.

A couple of weeks back we held a Nutrition & Health session on-site and had the privilege of hearing from Aaron Walsh, Mental Skills Coach for the Chiefs Rugby team. As well as working to help develop and deliver our local leadership programme, he came in to tell us about his own personal weight loss journey and share some of his learnings and tips for success.

We know that establishing healthy habits and making lasting changes to our lifestyles isn’t always easy – it’s hard to change the things we’re used to. But we can always strive to be a better version of ourselves and so far this challenge has been a great opportunity to reset and see what we are capable of. Looking forward to seeing the results in a few weeks’ time.
