It is our people who help us give more to our customers, give more to the community and give more to our suppliers, in the way they represent Sequal every day. This is why we have partnered with Dale Carnegie to grow our leadership pillar of development.
The Dale Carnegie course strives to strengthen participant’s interpersonal relationships, how they manage stress and how they handle a fast-changing workplace. The course endeavours to build persuasive communication skills amongst people, promote problem-solving and build leadership skills, whilst fostering enthusiasm and confidence.
Over the past month our Sales Manager, Stu Hazeldine, and Production Planner, Alby Rangitakatu, have been attending the course and, although it took them out of their comfort zone, they said they had learnt some really valuable skills. We’re really proud to have them on our team and are eager to see their newly learned skills in action. They have both been with Sequal for a long time and are key leaders in the business, so it will be exciting to see how they will influence others in the business going forward.
As always, a big thanks must go to the Bay of Plenty branch of Dale Carnegie for the time and effort they put in to running these courses that teach our people skills they will take with them for life.
