“If you care about something, put it on the walls”

Our purpose is to challenge, transform and give more to the future through wood – a purpose we are hugely passionate about. In order to achieve our purpose, we make decisions every day that are a reflection of our values and our beliefs.

Our values are important because they help us to grow and develop. They help us in creating a future that we want for generations to come, and they inform our thoughts, our words and our actions.

We believe that when we use our values and beliefs to help us make decisions, we make a deliberate choice to focus on what is important to us.

As seen in a recent blog post, we had the opportunity to attend the Better By Design Study Tour in New York and San Francisco in September… and one of the things hammered home by Shane Snow from Contently (a content/storytelling agency) who we visited on the tour was:

“If you care about something, put it on the walls” – in other words, if it’s important to you,  let it be heard AND seen!

For us, this reiterates why we have our values plastered on our walls. To remind us every day of who we are and what we stand for.. and to keep us focussed on those things that are important on our journey to challenge, transform and give more to the future through wood.
